Travertine and marble side tables

Side tables are the flexible pieces of a room. One stands beside an armchair, another moves when guests arrive, a pair nests together when space is needed. Ours are made from natural marble and onyx, and however slender they look, each is worked from a single piece of stone.

Every side table is cut from a single slab of natural stone, not a veneer or a resin copy. Heights and diameters can be changed to sit next to your sofa or bed. Made to order in 2 to 6 weeks and shipped to the USA, the UK and Europe.

Why a marble side table

A side table is a small piece but one of the most touched surfaces in a home: coffee cup, book, phone, lamp. Wood marks with that use over time and glass scratches. Marble is hard, heat tolerant and, cared for properly, a surface that lasts for decades. Using good stone in a small piece also costs relatively little, which makes a side table the most reasonable way to start living with natural stone.

The collection

Pillar is a slim, vertical side table in the form of a column, used alone or as a pair; it is made in Marmara marble and Calacatta. Yin Yang is a round side table in which two stones complete each other; it shows its character as a pair in contrasting colors, Marmara marble with Alanya Black or Alexander Black being the clearest example. Candy, Lolly, Celestia and Tower are single-body forms in travertine, Calacatta Viola or onyx, and Primal and Forest Dream are the plainest silhouettes in the range.

Choosing the size

The top of a side table should sit close to the armrest height of the seat beside it: a few centimeters below is ideal, above is uncomfortable. The models in the collection are made in heights from 40 to 70 cm (16 to 27.5 in), and any of them can be made to your dimensions. If you plan to nest two tables, leave at least 6 cm (2.5 in) of height between them.

Production

Every piece is made after your order; production takes 2 to 6 weeks, most orders 3 to 4 weeks, plus transit. In side tables the stone thickness is set to keep the slender look while removing the risk of breakage, and the edges are chamfered by hand. Care

A side table is the piece that sees the most spilled liquid. Coffee, wine and citrus acid can leave a permanent mark on marble; wiping a spill without delay is the one rule to know. Our pieces are sealed before delivery. We recommend reading the care guide.
