The full legal notice under Turkish data protection law (KVKK, Law 6698) is published in Turkish at marblerart.com/privacy-policy/ and prevails in case of doubt. Visitors from the European Union have the rights described under the GDPR below.

What we collect and why

  • Enquiries and orders. Name, email address, country, delivery address, phone or WhatsApp number, the piece and stone you ask about, sizes, your message and any photos or drawings you send. We use them to answer you, prepare a quote, produce and ship your order, issue invoices and shipping documents and handle any claim. Legal basis: performance of a contract or the steps you ask us to take before one, and our legal obligations for invoicing and export records.
  • Payment. For bank transfers, the details on your proforma and the transfer confirmation. For card payment links, the payment provider processes your card data on its own pages; we receive only the confirmation, the amount and a masked card number. We never see or store full card numbers.
  • Website use. Server logs (IP address, time, browser) for security, and, only with your consent, analytics and marketing cookies (see below). Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure site, and your consent for the cookies.
  • Marketing emails. Only if you have asked for them. You can unsubscribe at any time.

We do not ask for or process special categories of data.

Who receives your data

  • Freight forwarders, carriers and customs brokers, to ship your order and clear it: name, address, phone and the commercial documents.
  • Our bank and, for card links, the licensed payment provider.
  • Our hosting provider (GoDaddy; the site runs on WordPress and WooCommerce) and our email provider.
  • Our accountant and e-invoicing provider, for the legally required records.
  • Google (Analytics) and Meta (pixel), only when you have accepted analytics or marketing cookies.
  • Public authorities and courts where the law requires it.

We do not sell personal data. Some of these providers process data outside your country and outside Türkiye; where EU data is involved, transfers rest on the providers’ standard contractual clauses or your consent.

How long we keep it

  • Order, invoice and export records: 10 years, as Turkish tax and commercial law requires.
  • Enquiries that do not become an order: 2 years after the last message.
  • Server logs: 2 years, as Turkish law 5651 requires.
  • Cookies: from the session up to 2 years, depending on the cookie. Your consent choice itself is kept for 180 days.

Cookies

Required cookies keep the site working (session, consent choice) and need no consent. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4, IP anonymized) and marketing cookies (Meta pixel and Conversions API, Google Ads conversion measurement) are set only after you accept them in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time through the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of every page. Declining does not affect your use of the site.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its processing, receive a copy in a portable format and withdraw a consent you gave, all free of charge. Write to info@marblerart.com with “Privacy request” in the subject line; we answer within 30 days. If you are in the European Union you can also complain to your local data protection authority; in Türkiye the authority is the Personal Data Protection Board (KVKK Kurulu).

Security

All traffic between your browser and the site is encrypted (TLS). Access to personal data is limited to the staff who need it for their work and protected by passwords and access rights; backups are encrypted. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you we will inform you and the authorities as the law requires.

Changes

We update this summary when our processes or the law change; the current version is always on this page. Last updated: September 5, 2026.
