The company is registered for tax in Türkiye only and ships from Türkiye. There is no EU VAT number, because there is no EU establishment; that is a complete answer rather than a missing one. On import into the European Union, import VAT and any duty arise in the country of destination. Who pays them depends on the incoterm in your quotation.
Customs and duty into the EU and the UK
Into the EU: zero customs duty. Türkiye and the European Union are in a customs union for industrial goods. We issue an A.TR movement certificate with every EU shipment, and with it the duty rate on our furniture is zero. Without it the same goods are dutiable, so the certificate travels with the consignment and its cost is shown in the quotation.
Into the United Kingdom: zero customs duty under the Türkiye to UK free trade agreement, on an origin declaration written by us on the invoice. An A.TR is not accepted in the UK at all, and that agreement does not use EUR.1 either.
Import VAT is always payable in the country of destination and is never included in our prices.
Commodity codes. Assembled stone furniture: 9403.89 (EU 9403 89 00, US 9403.89.6015). Stone table lamps: 9405.21. A bare stone top on its own falls under 6802 and is dutiable where furniture is not, so we invoice finished furniture.
Origin: Türkiye. Packing: heat treated, ISPM-15 stamped, IPPC marked plywood export crate, included in the export price. Crate dimensions and gross and net weights are stated per item in every quotation.
Terms we work on
Incoterms: EX WORKS Izmir as standard. DAP is quoted per order once we have the destination postcode and the exact items. We do not offer DDP.
Prices: our export price list is in EUR, excluding VAT, and includes the export crate.
Minimum order: none. Single pieces are possible; freight per unit is simply higher.
Lead time: made to order, 2 to 6 weeks, most orders 3 to 4, plus transit.
Payment: bank transfer. A first order is prepaid. Card payment is not available.
Private label: possible, discussed case by case.
Blind shipping: we do not ship to an end customer under another company’s name.
Group
Marbler Art was founded in 2022. Our group company Aktaş Mermer has cut and processed natural stone in the same industrial zone in Çiğli, Izmir since 1965. We do not operate quarries; slabs are bought from quarries and slab yards and selected piece by piece for each order.
